Public donation for WASH project and opening of water facilities at Nelikadu school
9th July 2021 :We are happy to announce that ChildFund Sri Lanka has completed construction of the water and sanitation facilities of the Nellikadu School (officially known as BT/BW/ Nellur Kalaimagal Vidyalayam) in Batticaloa Sri Lanka.
Special thanks to our generous local donors – Ms. Hasithi Samarasinghe, Ms. Akshila Anurangi and friends who sponsored for the infrastructure development, as well as Atlas for sponsoring part of the stationery items and school equipment for our WASH School.
WASH programme was designed by ChildFund Sri Lanka, implemented in the community by Action Unity Lanka and supported by ChildFund New Zealand .The programme focuses providing Water and Sanitation, Health (WASH) facilities to rural schools and communities, along with related trainings focusing on students, teachers, and community members.
