ChildFund Sri Lanka partnered CONNECT 2012 providing Water for Life to needy school children

ChildFund Sri Lanka partnered CONNECT 2012 to implement the WASH – Water for Life Project. CONNECT 2012 was a network of past pupils from schools in Sri Lanka who have completed their A/L’s in 2012. The WASH project provided clean drinking water sources and hygienic sanitation facilities for children from rural schools in Sri Lanka. With support and generous donations received from CONNECT 2012, children in Manipuram Vigneswara Vidyalayam Batticaloa were able to have access to clean drinking water and safe hygienic sanitation facilities. As a result of this intervention, access to clean water within the school improved student hygiene, health, and increased children’s participation at school. ChildFund Sri Lanka was deeply appreciative of the role played by CONNECT 2012 in being a part of WASH – Water for Life campaign.
